What is the difference between Shooter’s Cut & SAPI/ESAPI cut? 2016-05-16T19:16:00+00:00

Shooter’s cut (also known as Swimmer’s cut) is designed for an active shooter because it allows the wearer to shoulder their rifle for improved comfort and positioning without vital coverage loss. The SAPI/ESAPI cut is the more traditional body armor shape, often found in military armor systems. For comparison on a 8″x10″ plate, the area of the Shooter’s cut is about 2.22″ x 4.45″ and the area of the SAPI/ESAPI cut is 1.81″ x 2.61.”

We will sell body armor to civilians, Law Enforcement Officers, and Military Personnel in the United States who meet the following criteria:

By design,  Level III ceramic plates are thick and can be difficult to move around in.  They also tend to expensive.  In comparison, steel armor plates provide the same level of protection or better at a fraction of the cost.  At Premier Body Armor, we take it one step further and use a premium armored steel that is much harder than the steel other manufacturers use.   Because it is so strong, it can also be thinner.  Our ballistic steel core is only 5mm (0.196″) thick, the lightest in the industry. At just over 6 lbs our Fortis 2.0 is also the lightest 10″x12″ Level III steel plate in production today!

Body armor packages weigh approximately 15 lbs., and all orders are shipped through UPS Ground Shipping with order tracking information available. Shipping information will be provided by email as soon as the order leaves our facility. Actual transit time of shipping varies based on location, but orders usually arrive within 2-5 business days once shipped.

All body armor plates have a 5-year warranty, and each carrier has a 2-year warranty. ALL SALES ARE FINAL, NO RETURNS ARE ACCEPTED, AND NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN FOR ANY PRODUCT once an order has been placed. Lead time varies based on the product. We have most products in-stock for same-day shipping. However, out of stock products may take up to 4 weeks.
